Mass Media communications, which encompasses television and radio broadcasting, cable television, satellite and new video options, is experiencing dynamic changes as the market expands, new services are added, and television is converted from analog to digital service. Combining media knowledge that predates the 1984 Cable Act with our experience with new media and technologies, we are able to provide our clients the breadth and depth of expertise required in this new environment. We have advised Mass Media clients in matters ranging from licensing and regulatory compliance to upgrades of technical facilities and satisfaction of programming and political broadcasting obligations. Our experience also includes rulemakings and transactional matters such as program distribution and broadcast station and cable system acquisitions. We have also represented financial institutions and other clients in connection with Mass Media investments and financings, including compliance with foreign ownership restrictions.
