Mark J. O’Connor
A founding member of Lampert, O'Connor & Johnston, Mark O’Connor has more than fifteen years experience in communications law and has represented start-up companies to industry leaders in virtually every facet of telecommunications, media, Internet and international communications. His active practice focuses on regulatory, legal and strategic issues regarding Internet and emerging competitive telecommunications, wireless, and communications developments. Mark frequently represents clients before domestic and international governmental bodies, including the Federal Communications Commission, State regulatory commissions, and the federal courts.Mark is an expert on broadband policy, spectrum and wireless issues, legal and regulatory communications developments, and regularly appears as a panelist at industry conferences.
Prior to founding Lampert, O'Connor & Johnston, Mark was a telecommunications attorney with the Washington, DC, office of Piper & Marbury, L.L.P., where he represented clients on a range of common carrier, mobile telephony, cable television, and Internet regulatory issues. Mark began his work as a communications attorney at the firm of Fleischman & Walsh, representing cable television operators on rulemaking proceedings as well as regulatory compliance and licensing.
