E. Ashton Johnston
A partner in Lampert, O'Connor & Johnston, Ash Johnston has extensive experience that encompasses all sectors of the communications industry, including mobile and fixed wireless, local and long distance telephony, radio and television broadcasting, satellite, and equipment issues. He has participated in proceedings before the Federal Communications Commission and state regulatory commissions on a wide range of issues, including competition, compliance and enforcement, spectrum auctions, universal service, privacy, and ownership.Ash regularly advises clients on significant regulatory, legislative, and corporate developments, helping them formulate and implement strategies to protect their rights and promote their business objectives before regulators, lawmakers, and courts. Ash also has substantial transactional experience, having represented service providers, investors, and lenders in hundreds of transactions, including financings, mergers and acquisitions, corporate structure and governance, contracts, and assignments and transfers of licenses.
Prior to joining Lampert, O'Connor & Johnston, Ash was a partner in the Washington, DC, office of DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary. Ash was previously with Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker LLP and began his work as a communications attorney at the firm of Bryan Cave LLP.
